Dastan and Tamina prepare for their wedding, with Tamina unsure of this man who just entered her life and Dastan regretting that it is not the Tamina who helped him save the world. They are married, though, and Dastan tells Tamina the story of the dagger and how it came to him. Tamina believes the story, but is not certain what she should do about it.

Tamina is determined from that point to show Dastan that she is still the same woman he once loved. She contemplates all that once happened, including Dastan killing himself while overseeing the dagger and slowly the story becomes a part of her memory. Though no ending is happily ever after, for Dastan and Tamina it becomes as blessed as possible.
And yes, the dancing girl and young boy represent Tamina and Dastan from when they were children.
