Cherie Currie showing a cherry tattoo on her shoulder.
PRESS: What was your reaction to hearing that Dakota Fanning was going to be cast to play you in the film?
CURRIE: I almost hit the ground. My knees literally buckled. I screamed, I screamed and danced around like a crazy person, and broke into tears. I couldn’t believe it because she is really my favorite actress of all time. It was the happiest day of my life, besides the birth of my son.
PRESS: So are you pleased with how the film [turned out]?
CURRIE: Dakota, Kristen, Michael … I mean, the acting is phenomenal. It’s beautifully shot. Of course, you know, I lived it. It was two years of hell and triumph and all that, and how do you possibly put that into an hour and a half? You can’t. It really could have been an epic. It could’ve been like the Twilight series, you know, The Runaways series. (Laughs.) It could have.
PRESS: One of the scenes that really struck me in the movie was when the rest of the band got angry at Cherie for taking those provocative magazine pictures, even though Kim had tricked her into it. How can female artists gain respect for their music, while still embracing and owning their sexuality, which is part of their image and power?
CURRIE: Well, I think the only way that you could do that is to be true to yourself. If that’s what you reflect naturally, if that’s who you are naturally, the truth cannot be denied. The people that go out there and pretend - it’s a joke. You can tell someone who isn’t true to themselves right off the bat". Source: www.movieretriever.com

Will Prince of Persia break the videogame curse?

"From Super Mario Bros. to Street Fighter, from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within to Resident Evil: Degeneration, movies based on videogames have never turned out well. (And that’s not even mentioning Uwe Boll.)

Walt Disney Pictures believes it’s about to buck the trend. On May 28, the studio will release Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, based on the 2003 installment of the videogame series created by Jordan Mechner. At WonderCon in San Francisco last weekend, the studio cranked up the hype machine to full blast, bringing out Mechner, producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean), director Mike Newell and leading man Jake Gyllenhaal to plug the film.
Is all this Hollywood talent the key to breaking the curse of the videogame movie?

Robert Pattinson has a special bond with Kristen Stewart
'I propose A LOT though ' Access Hollywood Interviews Robert Pattinson
Robert and Kristen about Kristen's cat :P
"The are they, aren't they story of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's possible romance has been going on for so long now that even they seem to be getting a bit confused.
According to Showbiz Spy, Robert said of Kristen: "We have a special bond together, she is the sweetest, smartest and strongest girl I know."
At which point we fully expected him to declare his love for the sullen Twilight star.
Instead Robert went on: "If we have a relationship I would rather not say, because my words get twisted around too much and can be 'old news' by the time this interview is printed."
Well, that's as clear as mud then.
And the British actor seems to have gone from not being able to get a girlfriend to being a little on the picky side, because he added: "I've been linked to a lot of actresses in Hollywood, most of them I find too silly and shallow that I would not want to date them." Source: celebrity.aol.co.uk
Kristen Stewart has admitted she loves Robert Pattinson.
"The 20-year-old actress - who stars alongside the British heartthrob in 'The Twilight Saga' movies - said she feels strongly for her co-star because he has a childish side.

She said: "I love Rob because he always wants to be the best. He can be very childish. When Rob does something right or wins something he talks with a different, little voice - like a five-year-old.
"Rob is sexy, in a tortured artist way. This might be because he is British. He's tall, looks like he is thinking all the time and is incredibly funny.
"I love the way he sings. It breaks my heart. And don't you think he's just gorgeous? Rob's also a very bad liar, he just can't do it!"
She told the News of World newspaper: "He asked me to marry him. As a joke, though. Well at least I think so."
The couple have been rumoured to be in a relationship since they first met on the set of the vampire movies, but have never officially been seen together, despite rumours they were going to reveal their status at this year's BAFTA Awards.
Speaking at London's Grosvenor House Hotel at a post-BAFTAs dinner this year, Robert said: "It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans, it goes crazy." Source: www.monstersandcritics.com

“Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” Featurette Featuring Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal believes fans of the Prince of Persia games will like the movie version.
Jake, who stars as lead character Prince Dastan in the adaptation, claims the movie has kept true to the original game while also making it relevant for a new audience by “elaborating” on the story.
“I’ve no doubt there will be a whole mix of ideas about the movie because everybody plays the game. The great thing about video games is you get to do it yourself, and this is another person’s version of it,” he told ComingSoon.net.
“I think we’ve done incredible action, we’ve really paid attention to the video game and elaborated on things that make this story fantastic,” he added. “I mean, huge action, a lot of the same moves you use and can use in the video game but also based in reality and believably done in the film which I think creates more suspense. I think they’re really going to like it.”
