Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal: fascinating couple of the year 2010

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel hold hands as they leave Bubby's Pie Pic Co. after having some brunch together, on 5th May 2010 in Tribeca, N.Y.

1. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: Sure, this couple has been dodging breakup rumors for over a year - Justin’s grandmother even said last year that "as far as we’re concerned, he’s always been single" - but they still seem to be going strong. Justin is know for his long, committed relationships—he dated Cameron Diaz for nearly four years, and supposedly Britney Spears for the same length—and seeing as he’s experienced his own heartbreak from infidelity (exhibit A: "Cry Me A River"), it seems somewhat unlikely that he would become a cheater himself. And Jessica’s certainly had her fair share of temptation - after all, she filmed Nailed with cutie Jake Gyllenhaal - but has never strayed. This couple’s commitment to each other is what makes them fascinating. They’ve been together since 2007, but who knows, maybe they’ll also fall victim to Justin’s four-year-relationship trend.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart greet each other at the premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" during the Los Angeles Film Festival at Nokia theatre on 24th June 2010

2. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson: She’s the envy of nearly every teenage girl today, and probably even some adult women as well. He’s a lusted after English hearthrob. And although neither actor has officially confirmed they are exclusively dating, there’s been ample photographic evidence of their love. We hear that the next installment of Twilight will feature their characters Bella and Edward getting married, so perhaps wedding bells are not far off for the offscreen couple as well? If so, we would expect a super-private elopement, as the couple seems to value their privacy above everything else. Kristen Stewart: Robert Pattinson Is 'My Husband'
3. Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent: Their couple status may be un-officially confirmed, but that didn't stop Chelsea from be quite candid about her possible beau during a recent interview with Jay Leno. (The Tonight Show band also played Fifty’s "Candy Shop" during Chelsea’s entrance.) During the interview, Jay asked the comedienne how exactly to pronounce the rapper’s name ("Fifty or Fiddy?") and Chelsea responded, "I don’t know. I call him Curtis when we have sex." Apparently though, this was just a joke, as she later referred to him as a friend who hasn’t met her family yet. (She then joked that he couldn’t meet her family until he learned to swim.) We don't know what these two would see in each other, but, in any case, we'd love to see "Curtis" fix up Chelsea's BFF Jennifer Aniston with one of his rapper friends, so that they can double date in the new year.

4. Jay-Z and Beyonce: Not only are these two one of the most powerful couples of this year but certainly of the decade as well. Independently, with his record label and her concerts and endorsements, they are both at the top of the Forbes list (Beyoncé is ranked #2; Jay-Z #15), and when they join together as a couple, it easily puts the two of them on the top. Yet, despite their reclusive nature and insane gobs of money, they still seem relatively down to earth and are adored by their fans. You can’t help but love them. And we’re thinking that the next year will see the arrival of a little "Jayoncé" baby.
5. Ellen De Generes & Portia De Rossi: Portia’s recent book about her struggle with an eating disorder resulted in some public appearances: the most notable of which was on The View, where she rebuked Elisabeth Hassleback’s reasoning about the term "marriage". When Hassleback asked the actress if the word was more important than the rights, De Rossi eloquently stated that "No, of course the word isn’t more important than the rights," but "without the word, we don’t have equal rights." Ellen continues to be a hit success and a laugh-out-loud riot with her talk show, and according to Reuters.com, 39% of Americans chose De Generes as their top guest to have attend their holiday cocktail parties. We think this power couple is in it to win it. (And by it we mean an enduring flame of love, success, and happiness.)

6. Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal: It’s only been about five weeks with these two, but, already, they've become one of the most talked about celebrity couples of late. Swift has never been shy when it comes to showing her affection (or disdain) for a man—she wrote songs about her devastating breakup with Joe Jonas, an apology ballad to Taylor Lautner, and an aggressive track aimed at a speculated affair with John Mayer. So no matter the outcome of this relationship—happy, sad, mutual ending—there’s likely to be a forthcoming single about Jake."A partygoer snitched to press that Taylor and Jake were “cuddly and so cute” and “obsessed” with one another. Prior to the big day, Taylor told press, "I want a Christmas-themed birthday, because I love Christmas as much as my birthday. Combining the two just seems like the perfect festivity." “Taylor is beaming and Jake has never been happier. They’re already dead set on moving in together and are talking about marriage, which is exciting for her because she has so many dreams about that fairytale ending,” a source explained. “Taylor is hoping he’ll pop the question. It could even be as early as next year.” “This romance was just so unexpected,” a source told Look magazine. “Jake has fallen hard. He feels like she’s The One. People are telling them to slow down because Taylor’s so young, but she has been a star for years so she’s very mature.” Source: www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk

10. Katy Perry and Russell Brand: She’s now officially Katy Perry Brand and, career-wise, she's never been hotter. Her newest album Teenage Dream went straight to the top upon its release, and she (and her boobs) have been making appearances all over prime-time television (SNL, Sesame Street, The Simpsons). And! These two just got hitched. On a recent appearance on the Paul O Grady Live Show, Katy said that she likens their marriage to the I Love Lucy Show, saying "I’m Lucy. And he’s Lucy. There’s a lot of Lucys." They are both a little odd—Katy once sported fake nails with photos on them of Russell's face - and just a few months before their marriage, Russell was arrested for kicking a paparazzo at LAX. Katy later posted on Twitter, "if you cross the line & try and put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me." Russell may just have his work cut out for him now, as Katy’s popularity is surging, but his kookiness alone may be enough to keep the paparazzi at a manageable distance. Source: www.yourtango.com

According to a source, Johansson initiated the split. Reynolds, who is PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive, told PEOPLE that the best thing about married life was, "You get to hang out with your best buddy every day." Source: www.people.com

Prince of Persia featured in Filmography 2010: 270 movies video

Jake Gyllenhaal in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" (2010)

Just yesterday we were bemoaning how lackluster 2010 looked through the lens of Google and YouTube. But no matter how grim things got in the real and online worlds, we could always escape to the movies. This visual/musical montage of films from the past year is a good reminder that there was plenty of fun to be had this year in the dark confines of the movie theater—and with 270 films thrown into the mix, it goes well beyond the expected Golden Globe/Oscar fare. Reese Witherspoon in "Entertainment Weekly" December 2010

"He's extraordinarily attractive, I'm not gonna lie! Every day there would be like, 50 people staked out. There would be people camped out in the hallways of our hotel. All day, all night long, it didn't matter. People were there to try to catch a glimpse."

However, the blonde beauty believes the best thing about the 24-year-old star - who is believed to be dating his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart - is he is a hard worker who is not "a bad boy".
She told MTV News: "Robert is such a great guy from a great family. That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy, he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants'. We really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie." Happy 21st Birthday to Taylor Swift

Jake Gyllenhaal out for a drive in Los Angeles, on 13th December 2010

"As for how she'll mark the landmark, Swift, who is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, played coy when asked about celebrating during a Monday morning radio interview.
"Plans? For my birthday? This is it! This was all I planned for," Swift joked to Nashville DJ Gerry House on WSIX. "It snowed yesterday, you know, so that kind of limits activities. I may sit inside my apartment and pretend I'm in a snow globe."
But the singer did receive a morning serenade: Along with a birthday card, the radio show's cast and crew presented Swift with a rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Though she’s recently spent several days in L.A. with Gyllenhaal, she Tweeted that Sunday night she stayed home in her new Nashville condo, "dancing around my room alone to @pink's greatest hits cd," after two band mates had dropped by with birthday hats and a pizza lit with 21 candles".
