[But] I love being married to my wife -- she's the best thing that ever happened to me, but if she ever left me, I wouldn't do it again. "In the 28 years we've been married, we've done 50 movies together. I say 'we' because Sue deserves a credit, too. I'm the guy who makes the buck, but she's the one who takes care of everything else. Jake Gyllenhaal's fear of ostrichs was real, says Gemma Arterton

"Gyllenhaal's costar, Gemma Arterton, can attest to his level of fear. "He was really scared," she told PEOPLE. "He ran away, and the look on his face – it's not acting. It's real."
It sounds like Arterton, 24, who plays Princess Tamina, had a better experience with animals on the Morocco set.

"I did a horse-riding stunt, which took me two weeks to rehearse," she says. "I had to jump onto a horse while it was galloping towards me. It was pretty scary, and I'm proud of myself for doing it, and I made sure that [I looked over my shoulder] so that everyone knew it was me and not a stunt double." Source: www.people.com

Jake Gyllenhaal, taking 20 year hiatus from playing PoP videogame

"I used to play the side-scrolling version of The Prince of Persia on the first Mac computer in elementary school", Gyllenhaal told journalists via Internet this weekend from London. "And then I took a 20 year hiatus from the game."
But once Gyllenhaal was cast as Prince Dastan, the dashing hero who goes on the lam with a beautiful enemy (Gemma Arterton) in pursuit of a magical gift from the gods, he returned to his childhood hobby—for purely professional reasons.
"It's a very difficult form of research," Gyllenhaal deadpanned. "Playing the game three or four times a day and getting paid to exercise—it was really tough."
The film hinges on a mystical dagger that can take its bearer backwards a full minute to change the course of recent events. But tapping into the all-powerful Sands of Time allows a person to travel back to any point in history. Like, say, the year 1989, when a young Jake could be found playing Jordan Mechner's original Prince of Persia game?

"I wish I could go back and tell that eight-year-old kid who was playing the game that, one day, twentysome odd years later, he would be playing the lead in a Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster movie based on that video game, and just see how his eyes would pop out of his head and how excited he would be," Gyllenhaal mused. "For me, that's kind of how I felt while I was making the movie; I felt like I was unlocking that piece of my childhood again. It was fun every day, running and jumping and fighting bad guys." Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, and Alfred Molina in a Mike Newell film, Disney is clearly trying to mimic the success of their Pirates of the Caribbean franchise with Prince of Persia. Also, Disney is trying to break the video game to movie curse, as most would agree no video game has been successfully adapted into a great movie.
