The proposed follow-up was thrown into jeopardy after Jolie reportedly pulled out of the project, but movie bosses are now considering moving forward with another actress in the lead role.

Jake Gyllenhaal: active as part of his daily insanity

Jake Gyllenhaal attending Washington Capitals Vs Montreal Canadians Game on 21st April 2010.

Jake Gyllenhaal in GQ Rusia magazine cover, March 2010 issue.

“[I] never did anything this intensive before [to change my body]. It’s a physical role. And when I commit to playing a part, it’s 110 percent,” said the 29-year-old actor. “We worked really closely with David Belle, who invented Parkour. I worked with a lot of gymnasts. I started jumping off of a lot of things that were padded and learned the fundamental stuff, and then slowly started working on harder surfaces, really carefully. And I’d say, ‘OK, I’ll try it,’ and then I’d say, ‘OH GOD. OH, please.’ But then I’d get it, and we’d go a little further and a little longer and a little higher and just kept it up,” explained Gyllenhaal, who did many of his own stunts during filming, even scaring himself at some points. “It got a little bit dicey there near the end, when they saw that I liked doing things that were dangerous. I tried my hand at things that were pushing it a little bit. There was this big 35 foot jump that I did that got a little hairy.” So now that the movie’s wrapped, is it just a matter of time before the big guns disappear? Says Gyllenhaal, “I enjoy being active as part of my daily insanity anyway, so I’ll keep doing that.” – reporting by Susan Young Source: stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com

"Jake Gyllenhaal embodies an action star – literally – in his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, according to his costar Gemma Arterton.
"He has so much action, but he does really well at it," Arterton says in a video promoting the movie, due in theaters May 28. "He's a bit of an action figure himself, I think."
Gyllenhaal, 29, who plays the Prince of Dastan, definitely has an action figure physique for his role.

But does Gyllenhaal really believe in fate? He just might. "I think there are signs all along the way throughout our life that tell us things that we can either pay attention to – or not," he says.

Jesse Eisenberg in Holy Rollers steps into the underworld

Jesse Eisenberg in Total Film magazine, April 2010.

"Jesse Eisenberg is a wise choice to play Sam Gold, a role that calls from his movement from the innocence of Eden to the evils of Sodom. He chalked up a similar role in "Solitary Man", which opens on the same day, there playing a nerdy college sophomore who is mentored by Michael Douglas's character in the ways to get around women. "Holy Rollers" takes place in 1998, with Eisenberg's role anchoring the picture as son of the owner (Mark Ivanir) of a wholesale fabric store, a boss who is not particularly interested in money but is very much concerned about doing the right thing by God. Young Sam Gold, a shy fellow who is introduced to a prospective bride (in an excellent depiction of what happens on a "first date"), is to part ways with his dad and with the Jewish community when he is seduced into a drug smuggling ring by an Israeli dealer who uses Hasidim as mules.
Jessie Eisenberg, Ari Graynor and Justin Bartha attend the Variety Studio at Sundance on 25th January 2010 in Utah.

Involving also his best friend, Leon (Jason Fuchs), Sam is brought into the racket by his older brother, Yosef (Justin Bartha), then introduced to Jackie Solomon (Danny A. Abeckaser) who is the rep in Amsterdam and to the latter's party-loving girl, Rachel (Ari Graynor), who resembles a young Barbra Streisand.
As Sam becomes more worldly, going from refusing to shake Rachel's hand to kissing her passionately, later cutting his payes to resemble the look of a secular Jew, the tightly-knit community spreads rumors, resulting in the young man's ostracism.
Photographer Ben Kutchins contrasts the open society of Amsterdam with its legal prostitution trade against a scruffy New York neighborhood that is nonetheless embraced by the Hasidic community. Cosmopolitan Europe, the party scene, the Ecstasy pills, all drag Sammy into the rat-race but not without causing a battle royal within Sam's mind. Like Piper Kerman, the principal character in the memoir "Orange is the New Black", a woman who is not aware that she has crossed the line into illegal money laundering, Sam is pulled step by step into the underworld, gaining a small fortune in a short time but losing his soul". Greg Mottola to write Important Artifacts with Brad Pitt & Natalie Portman

Greg Mottola attends IFP's 19th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York, on November 30, 2009

"Greg Mottola is writing an adaptation of “Important Artifacts” for Paramount Pictures to star Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman.
Natalie Portman as Grace Cahill in "Brothers" (2009).

The novel, actually titled “Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry” is a fake auction catalog that chronicles the rise and fall of a four-year relationship. It’s essentially 325 pages of email, notes, pictures, and heirlooms that Mottola will weave into the script, according to THR’s Risky Business blog.
Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Raine in "Inglorious Basterds" (2009).
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt were a couple in real-life.

Portman and Pitt, rumored to be attached to this since March 2009, will obviously play the couple.

Jesse Eisenberg and Margarita Levieva in "Adventureland" (2009) directed by Greg Mottola.

Hopefully they hire Mottola to direct immediately after he submits the script to Paramount. This is perfect material to take him to the next (and deserved) level. Executives, if you’re reading this, we need more Mottola.Mottola’s next feature is Paul, written by and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz)".

Jake Gyllenhaal & Gemma Arterton - Promotional artwork for "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". Iheartjakemedia.com

"I suppose that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but as far as this beholder is concerned Gemma Arterton is perfect for the role of Princess Tamina, the character that evolved from the prince's companion Farah from the Prince of Persia video games. So the fact that anyone would take the time out of their day to write her a letter telling her otherwise boggles my mind.
According to an interview in the May edition of Details magazine, someone did just that.

"I've gotten letters telling me I'm not right for the part because I don't look like the girl in the video game! She really is this sex goddess. They've got massively high standards."
