NEW YORK — The bittersweet drama that played out on the Rodarte runway Tuesday reminded fashion insiders why Kate and Laura Mulleavy have become such a big deal in such a short time. Natalie Portman attending Rodarte Fall 2010 N.Y. Fashion Show.
The theme of their collection was the hazy state of consciousness that comes between sleep and being awake. Lovely, lace-draped dresses in a light, almost dusty palette captured the feeling of vintage lingerie and wallpaper prints but there was something weighing on them, too – a seriousness, a respect". "Today, according to 1Up, Ubisoft has confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will release on May 18, one week before the blockbuster film, "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," hits theaters. We've known for a while that Ubisoft would try to place the new game sequel as closely as possible to the movie, so May 18 hardly comes as a surprise. And although the promising action flick starring Jake Gyllenhaal could be cool, we're far more excited for The Forgotten Sands, a sequel to last generation's first PoP adventure, The Sands of Time. So, yeah, we've got the movie based on the first game coming out a week after the sequel to that first game comes to us in interactive form...understand now? The Forgotten Sands loses the cel-shaded look of the previous series installment and shifts back to fighting multiple foes at once, but we still get a partner. It isn't Elika, but Razia, who should be of great help in battle. For our part, there are few games that rank higher on the priority list in 2010". Source: www.psextreme.com

Maggie Gyllenhaal, nominated to Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Crazy Heart (2009).
"Maggie Gyllenhaal has just nabbed one of the greatest honors an actor can have — an Academy Award nomination, for her supporting role in Crazy Heart. But instead of being a nervous first-time nominee, Maggie says she’s excited to enjoy the ride! “That’s my goal; I would like to have fun,” Maggie told OK! and other reporters at AARP The Magazine’s ninth annual Movies for Grownups Awards, honoring Robert De Niro in Beverly Hills. Maggie Gyllenhaal with her mom Naomi Foner at AARP Magazine's 9th Annual "Movies for Grownups Awards at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Feb. 16 in Beverly Hills.
Maggie adds that part of her relaxed attitude is due to the fact that the Oscar is her only chance to win an award for the role. Maggie Gyllenhaal with Jeff Bridges, her co-star in "Crazy Heart".
“I wasn’t nominated for anything else for this movie, so on some level, I let go of the award stuff,” she admits. “I did sort of go through the thing, ‘Oh, awards aren’t everything,’ and then to be nominated was kind of a little mind trip.”
But what about that all-important aspect of every awards ceremony — the dress? “I am going to have a fitting when I go back home to New York,” Maggie revealed to OK!. “I saw some pictures of some beautiful dresses, and I’m going to try them on.” Source: www.okmagazine.com
Screencaps of Jake Gyllenhaal from The New York Time video.
"The New York Times Magazine’s close-ups with leading actors are pretty cool. (Admittedly, we’re biased, and not just because those magazine assignments are pretty plumb gigs.) This year, Jake Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, George Clooney, Vera Farmiga and Zoe Saldana reveal their favorite performances of the last decade. Our vote would have to include Sandra Bullock’s wig". Emilie de Ravin plays Ally Craig, Robert Pattinson's love interest in "Remember Me" (2010).Emilie and her co-stars talk about Remember Me and Robert Pattinson.

"Robert Pattinson teamed up with Lost’s Emilie De Ravin for a dreamy, Twilight-esque photo shoot for the March issue of Vogue to promote their very non-vampire-related romantic drama, Remember Me. The Vogue shoot reminds us of the meadow dream sequences in Twilight where Rob and Kristen gaze dreamily at one another, lost in love. But in these photos the British hunk, 23, dressed in a herringbone wool jacket and a Calvin Klein collection shirt, shares an intimate look with his (other) leading lady, Emilie, 28, who’s wearing a flowing beige Chanel voile dress. "Robert Pattinson struggled to stay in character on the set of his new film "Remember Me" - because he was constantly surrounded by screaming girls. The "Twilight" hunk plays a young rebel who falls in love with Emilie de Ravin's character. But the Brit insists giving a realistic performance was almost impossible, as the hordes of hysterical fans kept pulling him out of character. He tells America's Vogue magazine, "It was the most ridiculous experience. You're trying to stay in character and you're trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you're not this character." Source: www.aceshowbiz.com
