"The Girl next door" deleted scenes

"Cuthbert mostly stands around and looks gorgeous, leaving the humor to the men. Overall, Hirsch proves he has all the qualities of a leading man, able to embody the mentalities of both a victim and nobody’s fool within the same scene. He is a lover, not a fighter – look out for his rambunctious turn while doused with a hit of Ecstasy". Source: www.filmstew.com

"We’re no longer following the pat formula perfected by John Hughes, adding an unhealthy dose of R-rated randiness and dutifully unleashing the combination on teens expecting bra straps and punch lines. Instead, Greenfield and the screenwriting team of Stuart Blumberg (Keeping the Faith) and David Wagner & Brent Goldberg (Van Wilder, the upcoming Nick Cannon film The Underclassmen) have moved into uncharted territory, using those conventions to evoke a larger truth. Namely, that life, whether you’re 18 or 80, is unpredictable and that, from moment to moment, it can alternate between happy, sad, scary or all of these emotions at once.

As sad and difficult as teenage life may sometimes be, Greenfield has restored its representation on screen to life to a level that no number of gratuitously flashed areolas can equal. And that, dear readers, is a lesson worth learning".

Invisibles Screening at Tribeca Cinemas

"What Bardem, who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in last year's "No Country for Old Men", could do was cast a light on the human crises in some of the world's most forsaken and war-ravaged regions. Upon returning to Spain he set about recruiting directors, including Wim Wenders and Isabel Coixet, to work on documentaries that would tell the stories of people whose suffering has gone largely unnoticed in developed nations.

The result was "Invisibles", a collection of five short documentaries that looks at such issues as the failure of pharmaceutical companies to develop effective medicine for poor people beset by viruses in South America, the kidnapping and violent indenture of children in northern Uganda by rebel militias, and the systematic sexual violence against women in Congo.

Producing the film turned out to be the beginning, not the end of Bardem's involvement. He is now focusing on the plight of women in Congo. He has joined forces with John Prendergast of the Enough Project (http://www.enoughproject.org), a D.C.-based human rights organization created to combat genocide and crimes against humanity".

Jake, Ryan, Natalie, etc.

Jake Gyllenhaal dating Natalie Portman.
"Star Wars actress Natalie Portman has recently told reporters that she would never marry. The 26 year old star, who's dating fashion designer Nathan Bogle said that she does not need a piece of paper to prove her love. She confirmed that she was not into
Monogamy but was not really into the whole walking down the aisle thing."

"Rachel allegedly moved on first, into the arms of hottie Josh Lucas. Now LainyGossip is reporting that Ryan Gosling has got someone on the down-low… Natalie Portman!

From what I’ve seen of Natalie Portman’s dating record, Ryan would definitely be a step up. But that’s what makes me question Lainey’s report. Natalie seems to go for the vegan-rock-star-hipster types like “Venezuelan folk singer” Devandra Banhart. Natalie seems to be strangely similar to Drew Barrymore in her taste in men. Which makes me think that a clean-cut, Oscar-nominated Canadian heartthrob might overwhelm her."

Fly on the wall

"The script, co-written with Juan Carlos Ros, centers on a wishful TMZ-like reporter, deprived of hip stories and hot girls, who is mystically granted the ability to transform into a fly, so he can peep on anything he desires; a gift that comes with a price to be paid.

Venghaus, through his newly formed Greenbelt Films, imagines a unique take on a human-like fly, utilizing motion capture techniques he garnered from the upcoming Jim Carrey starrer "A Christmas Carol." He is currently on
"Mars Needs Moms!," while McLeod is exec producing Jerry Bruckheimer's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" helmed by Mike Newell and starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

"We're excited to be working with David and Eric and look forward to a long-standing collaboration," Gupta commented".

Tim Geithner lied to congress

"Try not to be distracted by the creepy-cute guy sitting behind Geithner (who looks like a poor man’s, balding Jude Law - or at least, he would, if it was closing time at Sidetrack’s on a Bailout $2 Beer Friday), who may or may not also be some sort of Orc or Elf, like Geithner himself. 45 seconds into this clip, Geithner not only clearly hears about the $165 million total for the bonuses, but he also later talks about AIG specifically (so we know he was actually listening and paying attention, and not dreaming again, about Jake Gyllenhaal joining the swim team, the way we would have been doing), all on March 3rd…a full week before Geithner and the White House claim they knew anything about what they specifically told Chris Dodd to slip into the Obama Trillion Dollar Spending Bill".

At a March 3rd Ways and Means hearing, Secretary Geithner responded to a question about the AIG bonuses to be paid for in weeks. This hearing came one week before Secretary Geithner says that he knew about the bonuses.

Reese bought a pig

"Reese Witherspoon has been refusing to marry one of the most handsome men in the world, Jake Gyllenhaal, for months now but she's quite happy to share her home with a pig!

The Sweet Home Alabama actress revealed that buying her daughter Ava a pet pig has also meant a few changes to their diet: "His name’s Booker T. Washington - my daughter is studying American history. She won’t eat pork, she won’t eat bacon, and I have to be very careful with what I eat."
