Cosmopolitan Hottest guys in 2008

The actor saved lives and broke hearts, while picking up rave reviews as Tony Stark in this summer's Iron Man.

It was a rough year for the former (and very cute) Transformers star, but he still managed to receive the Choice Movie Actor: Action Adventure award for his role in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards and a Rising Star Award at the BAFTA Awards.

The former Superbad and Juno star confirmed his lack of game in this year's Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, but he's got charisma.

This summer, the former Girl Next Door shy guy proved he has looks and guts in Speed Racer.

This summer, The Dark Knight broke box office records, while Christian's looks sparked a new appreciation for superheroes.

Between the twins, two major films, and recent attempts to bring back the stache, it's been a busy year for Mr. Pitt.

This year, the prankster let us in on What Happens in Vegas... and caught our attention in all those camera commercials.

The London native formerly known for his role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series is heating up the big screen this winter as Edward Cullen in Twilight.

Yeah, weirdos, once again, they left Jake out of a beaus list, *sigh*, therefore this Cosmo-list is lame.

Happy Holidays in Weirdland!

Reese talks about her Christmas plans. The actress, who is able to shower her children with plenty of presents, says she prefers instead to give them few presents so they would appreciate them more. Reese told the BBC, “I'm a little strict about that kind of stuff. I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy. I try and stay away from the gluttony of things. They don't appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things they really like it."

I hope you receive a lot of gifts from your beloved ones, at least a small real smile (which is probably the best present).

Kate Winslet, a possible Oscar for "The Reader"

Michael Shannon is unfortunately going to come in second to Heath Ledger with a performance that makes the film something

– The Reader is already being talked of as an Oscar contender. In fact, he almost agrees. “She certainly gets paid for going into an emotional state, and, first of all, understanding what the character needs to do,” he says. “In other words she has a huge intellectual facility, but married to a huge emotional facility that is just fearless.”

Thus did the most talked-about German novel in a generation acquire a British producer, director, screenwriter and starring line-up. For good measure, Sydney Pollack and Scott Rudin, Hollywood legends both, joined Minghella as producers. Never let it be said that German nationalism lives on in the movies. Schlink and the German actors cast in The Reader’s smaller roles have – so far – expressed nothing but gratitude for the chance to work alongside an Anglo-Saxon A-team. Their careers all stand to benefit, not least because of the sheer weight of expectation that is about to settle on Kate Winslet’s shoulders: she has been nominated five times for an Oscar, but never won.

“We’re in a whole new era.” It’s an era in which, just maybe, Daldry will go up against Kate Winslet’s husband for an Oscar, and, with the help of at least one of them, Winslet will finally get one of her own". Source: entertainment.timesonline.co.uk
