Bill Condon to direct Twilight saga: "Breaking Dawn"

Twilight saga "Breaking Dawn" fan-artwork with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"Summit Entertainment has found its next "Twilight" filmmaker and now formally locked up Oscar-winner Bill Condon to direct "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn." While none of the stars have signed deals yet, the entire cast including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are expected to return. This is possibly one reason the studio has not confirmed whether, as rumored, there will be one or two "Breaking Dawn" films.

“I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book - and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience," said Bill Condon.

The fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's popular series chronicles Bella's most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels. Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for "Dawn." Stephenie Meyer has already met with Condon to discuss the project. She noted in the release, "I'm so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material."

Condon is best known for directing and adapting the box office and critical hit "Dreamgirls" which was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two including Best Supporting Actress for star Jennifer Hudson. The film also won the Golden Globe for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and grossed $103 million at the U.S. box office. The filmmaker won his own Oscar in 1998 for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Gods and Monsters." He was subsequently nominated again in the same category for "Chicago."

Catherine Hardwicke directed the first "Twilight" which was a surprise blockbuster grossing $384 million worldwide. The follow up, last fall's "New Moon" was shepherded by fan favorite Chris Weitz and made an eye-popping $707 million worldwide. The third chapter, "Eclipse", will hit theaters on June 30 under David Slade's direction".

Dubbed a "bombshell" when she was just a teen, Johansson, 25, has two must-have beauty staples: "Red lipstick and sandwiches." That's not surprising to her Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau, who says that "when you're hanging out with her on the set, she's just like one of the guys."

His pale, otherworldly complexion may make girls swoon, but the British heartthrob, 23, says looking the part of a lovesick vampire in the Twilight series isn't quite as thrilling: "Having that makeup put on every single day, as soon as you get it taken off it's like, 'Oh, you do look normal. Kristen Stewart & her Coach bag design

New Eclipse Promo Picture From Sanson Ice Cream

"Kristen Stewart is branching out. Into the hand bag business! Smart move. She can't play Bella Swan forever... and developing side gigs is always wise.

I think Kristen may want to practice a bit more before she launches her own line. The Coach Bag Co. is opening an outlet in China and to celebrate the event some celebrities have contributed designs that are sure to be snapped up on name power alone.

This snippet I've provided is just a hint of what idea springs from Kristen's mind for her first attempt. Light hearted and playful it shows how serious she feels about the opportunity. It's for Twi-Hard fans only.

But there's something charming about the scrawl. It even reminds me of some of John Lennon's doodles. And they had a similar message: The Word "Yes" was very instrumental in his own life and indeed was the word that opened up his relationship with Yoko Ono.

The Runaways (Kristen Stewart) - ELLE Magazine Interview

ELLE.com goes VIP with the cast and director of the "The Runaways." Read more about Dakota and Kristen's costumes at http://www.elle.com/Pop-Culture/Movie. Visit http://www.elle.com/Pop-Culture/Movie... for an in-depth conversation with director Floria Sigismondi, Cherie Currie, and Joan Jett.

“This film married my two favorite things in the world: music and fashion,” says Carol Beadle, who created the costumes for The Runaways, the much-anticipated biopic on Joan Jett and her titular proto-punk girl group. Beadle talked to us about evoking the late ’70s, working with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning (who play Jett and the band’s bombshell lead singer, Cherie Currie, respectively), and how to put a contemporary spin on Jett’s inimitable style. Jerry Bruckheimer, a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal

Publicity stills of "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" with Jake Gyllenhaal & Gemma Arterton.

Q: A lot of people do not see Jake Gyllenhaal as the leading man for this film. What did you see in him for the role of the Prince?

Jerry Bruckheimer: For a start he is a wonderful actor and he is very handsome. We have done this with so many actors. Will Smith in “Bad Boys”, he was seen as a comedic actor. Nicolas Cage in “Con Air”. He had always played various characters but was never an action hero until that and “The Rock”. I’m a fan of certain actors and Jake is one of them.

Q: Was there something specific about Gemma Arterton that you chose her to play Tamina as opposed to an established actress?
Jerry Bruckheimer: We tested a lot of young actresses and she was by far the most interesting. It sometimes just happens that way.

"To avoid any further false report about his alleged romance with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson quickly dismissed rumor he has proposed to his co-star. “This engagement thing is total bulls**t, I don’t even know where it comes from. Kristen is my friend,” he said.

“I really like to work with her,” the British heartthrob explained more when having an interview with entertainmentandshowbiz.com. “She’s more mature than her age, a real professional, I couldn’t wish for a better partner, because she makes my every move, every sentence authentic.”

Repeatedly becoming a target of dating report, the Edward Cullen of “Twilight” movie series refused to let himself distracted by the gossip. He said, “My only weapon for self-defense is to not care about the rumors. I concentrate on my work and on the positive sides of fame.”

Robert Pattinson was previously reported to have purchased antique jewelry to be presented to Kristen Stewart and popped up the question to the movie beauty on her 20th birthday. Source: www.aceshowbiz.com
