Jennifer's Body at Comic Con

Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried in "Jennifer's Body" (2009).
"Things go bad at the roadhouse — think fire, and lots of it — and Jennifer disappears. Back at home Needy is concerned, and while talking to her boyfriend Chip (Johnny Simmons, aka Young Neil from Scott Pilgrim vs the World) Jennifer shows up. But something is really, really wrong. This is where Fox gets to play creepy, and let out the sort of blood-curdling roar that actors must occasionally dream of, and where the movie starts to look like it might be fairly damaged. That’s a good thing. That might not sound like fifteen minutes worth of material, but what Kusama and Cody do is set up a nice little small town world where Jennifer is probably the hottest thing going. They do it with room for the characters to breathe without feeling like they’re just being set up for the kill". Source: www.slashfilm.com

"This year's Comic-Con in San Diego is positively filled with celebrities, but it's no secret that the ratio of celebrities who are genuine comic book fans to those who simply have a project to sell has changed dramatically as the event's grown.

Consider it a blessing, then, that we have someone like Megan Fox. Not only does she know her comics, but she's starring in films based on 'em in "Jonah Hex" and "Fathom", and, well... she's not too hard on the eyes. During a promotional event for her upcoming Diablo Cody ("Juno") horror film "Jennifer's Body," we asked Fox to prove her geek cred to the Comic-Con masses".

Jake spotted at Dodgers game

"Dodgers fans got a special treat last night when Jake Gyllenhaal showed up to watch the Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds at Dodger Stadium.

Jakey sat in Dugout Club seats for the game on Manny Ramirez Bobblehead Night.

He watched Manny hit a pinch-hit grand slam into the “Mannywood” section in left field, breaking a 2-2 tie in the 6th inning.

Jake isn't the only celebrity that's a huge Dodgers fan. Just last weekend Fergie and her hubby Josh visited the stadium to catch a game, and stars like Kim Kardashian and the Jonas Brothers have thrown the first ceremonial pitch".

Comic-Con: Prince of Persia, New Moon, etc.

"A certain Comic-Con-timed announcement caught our eye:"Prince of Persia" creator Jordan Mechner is penning Prince of Persia - A Graphic Novel Anthology to arrive in April 2010, a month ahead of the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (out May 28, 2010), starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The full-color novel, 128 pages in hardcover and paperback, will include six stories written by Mechner, who created the original Prince of Persia video games.
McFarlane has a busy slate at Comic-Con. In addition to a Prince of Persia panel, he has a new comic, Haunt, debuting there. Comic-Con, which began in 1970, has changed over the years for McFarlane. "It's a pop culture-con now. You can argue us comic guys who were there at the beginning of it are getting pushed to the corners," he says. "You went to buy and trade comic books and show your portfolio around". Source: content.usatoday.com

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner at Comic Con (Press Conference), on 23rd July 2009.

"When asked about a possible romantic relationship between the two, the studio (who requested people refrain from asking personal questions) stepped in to cut the reporter off. Stewart laughed at the question and only offered an 'are you kidding me?'

She was more open when talking about the movie and her character Bella.
“This movie is not about discovery or falling in love,” Stewart said. “Bella is basically manic-depressive.” When asked about any changes she may have gone through, she pointed out the obvious: “I cut my hair off.” Pattinson also jumped in on the conference fun calling New Moon “one of the most relaxing jobs I’ve ever done” and offered that the film is “a completely different mood” than the first film.

Taylor Lautner also revealed a movie teaser: “There’s double the action in this movie.”

So what was Pattinson’s reaction to the romance rumors? The British hottie kept the talk to their characters.“Bella ends up saving Edward like she does in every book”, Pattinson said. “I find it funny that the hero is always being saved by the damsel in distress.”
