"WONDERWALL, the recently launched celebrity gossip website, is a picture-filled scrolling wall that moves left to right instead of up and down the screen.
That’s not its only innovation – it doesn’t do sarcasm. It dispenses celebrity news and video with none of the acid wit found in much of the star coverage on the web.
Currently, there’s a piece on Hollywood’s love of blonde/brunette girl pairings, and a look at the “smooching, hand-holding and all-around cuddliness” of Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal. Another item covers Keanu Reeves’s starring role in a new retelling of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Instead of the mean punchline (perhaps when he takes the potion he gains the ability to act), the piece ends on: “Universal is keeping the plot under wraps.”

Good to see a site like Wonderwall that just does the news and shows pictures. The sarcasm shown on others sounds like kids who are jealous of the people who did better at things than they did.
I will speak up for Keanu tho. He has done numerous Independent films that i'm sure many haven't seen - where he has gotten very good reviews - The Last Time I Committed Suicide (gained weight for that and was very good) - The Gift - good reviews for that. "Little Buddha" where he Lost a lot of weight and received nice reviews...and "Tune In Tomorrow". He also gave a good performance in Bill & Ted - as some think he was that person - he wasn't. People who work with him love him & praise him to the sky.
Sometimes when you hear some critics say over and over - he's a terrible actor, maybe that might make it so to them. He likes to try different things - Maybe some aren't as suited as others but he's never complacent.
Whew - didn't mean to go on so long.
Looking forward to the continuing great acting career of Jake. As has said about him - he's in it for the right reasons. He is admired for that.
And Viva Jake & Reese.
It's refreshing to see a gossip site which isn't plagued with vicious vitriol, anonymous, welcome to Weirdland!
I think the acid irony is only well used when it's accompanied with intelligence. So it's still a mystery for me why Perez Hilton and such get millions of audience, it's like the gladiator phenomenon, you know, the difference is the lions are the public, this time.
Regarding to Keanu Reeves, he's not so wooden as everybody claims, he's not a thespian but he has tried, at least, to vary his parameters as actor inside his limitations. He's watchable in almost all his films, and even very good in some roles, as "My own private Idaho" or "A scanner darkly". I loved "The Last Time I Committed Suicide", Keanu had a vis a vis wonderful scene with Thomas Jane in a bar, where Thomas (Neal Cassady) needed to make Harry (Keanu) see that he maybe couldn't understand all his words well.
You has made witty and sincere points, anonymous, not just repeating what media or critics force us to think about Keanu, Jake, Reese, etc.
