Kristen plays a lot of teen angst roles, similar to the 1980's movies like Sixteen Candles and Breakfast Club. I think she is very talented, but needs to branch out into new roles.

I think the difference between Molly Ringwald (lead female actress in "Sixteen Candles" & "Breakfast club" by John Hughes) and Kristen Stewart is that Kristen seems to represent a more disaffected generation, in a mopey/self-loathing way that it wasn't so common in the 80's. I'd like to see Kristen in a more energetic role (maybe we have a chance with "The Runaways"!)
