I haven't realised how much James Dean and Jake Gyllenhaal have in common. Thanks for outlining them with these picutres.

To tell the truth, countsheep, James Dean is the actor/Hollywood legend/star whom most easily I can draw paralells with Jake.

Yes, Tbl, according to a related articlein 1954 Elia Kazan, who previously had directed Marlon Brando in "A streetcar named desire" (1951) offered James Dean the role for "East of Eden" due to the great admiration/obsession Kazan knew James Dean professed towards Brando, but Brando took Dean aside and told him he had emotional problems that required psychiatric attention." is just too much! Anyways, I prefer Dean above Brando, I think Marlon was a more patriarchal model and James more modern and sensitive.
